Obituary for David Roger Pickett

David Roger “Buddy” Pickett was born on December 17, 1961, in Washington County, a son of John Henry Pickett and the late Helen Leona Pickett. Buddy departed this life on March 11, 2017 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center having reached the age of fifty-five years, two months, and twenty-two days.

Buddy will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his son, Jerid Pickett and daughter, Chelsea Pickett – both of Robertsville; father, John Henry Pickett of Cadet; siblings: Michael Pickett and wife Miranda of Wentzville, John Pickett and wife Carla of Cadet, Randy Pickett and Laura of Cadet, Jerry Pickett of Hopewell, Laura Pickett of Tennessee, and George Pickett and wife Paddi of Potosi; four grandchildren: Mia Pickett, Payton Aubuchon, Bentlee Matzker, and Makenzlee Grace Matzker; mother of his children, Tracy Golden of Robertsville; and companion Sharon Thompson of Potosi.

In addition to his mother, Buddy is preceded in death by his sister, Judy Pickett; and nephew, Rodney Lands.
Visitation for Buddy will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the DeClue Funeral Home, beginning at 5:00 PM. A memorial service will begin at 7:00 PM on Thursday, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Ardell Grey officiating.

All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
