Obituary for Gary Dean Harmon

Gary Dean Harmon of Shirley, Missouri was born on April 3, 1949 in Shirley, a son to the late Johnny Harmon and the late Lois (Brasher) Harmon. Gary was united in marriage to Dorothy Jarvis on December 23, 1967 at the Stony Point Church and they shared nearly fifty years together.

Gary entered eternal rest on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital having reached the age of sixty-eight years and twenty-one days.

Gary will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his wife, Dorothy Harmon of Shirley, Missouri; two sons: Gary Harmon and wife Chris of Shirley; Brian Harmon and wife Gwen of Jefferson, Wisconsin; three brothers: Rodney Harmon of Piedmont, Missouri; Michael Harmon and wife Mary of Hillsboro, Missouri; Randy Harmon and wife LaDonna of Shirley; sister, Debbie Parmley and husband Hurshel of Potosi; five grandchildren: Christopher Harmon, Sarah Dunn and husband Joe, Lilly Harmon, Nathan Harmon, Collin Harmon; three great grandchildren: Karlee, Casidy and Jase; also surviving are nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his father and mother, Gary is preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Curtis and Juanita Jarvis and brother-in-law, Louie Draper.

Visitation will be at the DeClue Funeral Home on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 11 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 2 p.m., Officiated by Elder Leonard Compton.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the High Point Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. DeClue Funeral Home was privileged to care for the funeral arrangement for Gary during this time of remembrance.
