Ilene Genevieve Ayres of Potosi, Missouri was born on September 18, 1928 in Mammoth Mines, Missouri a daughter to the late Elmer Sanders and the late Mable (Richards) Sanders. Ilene passed away peacefully on Friday, May 25, 2018 having reached the age of eighty-nine years, eight months and seven days.

In addition to her parents, Ilene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clinton Ayres; daughter, Debra Jaycox; son, Ricky Ayres; daughter-in-law, Polly Wood; two sisters: Georgia Davis and Elverna Williams; three brothers: Cecil Sanders, Frances Sanders and Melvin Sanders.

Ilene is survived by her two sons: Albert Ayres and Ronald Wood both of Potosi; ten grandchildren; son-in-law, Russell Jaycox; daughter-in-law, Diane Crocker and a host of great grandchildren, and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, at 1 p.m. held at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Carl Wilson officiating.

Interment and final prayers will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
