Obituary for Avelene LaRue McCaul (Switzer)

Avelene LaRue  McCaul (Switzer)
Avelene LaRue McCaul of Potosi, Missouri was born on January 20, 1930 in Lafayette, Indiana, a daughter of the late Lowell Carl Switzer and the late Vallie Margaret (Royer) Switzer. On November 24, 1950, Avelene was united in marriage to James F. McCaul III and they shared sixty-four years together.

Avelene went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at her home on Indian Springs Farm, having reached the age of eighty-eight years, five months, and twenty days.

She will be missed by all who loved and cherished her including her three sons: Dr. James F. McCaul IV and wife, Dr. Debbie, Christopher C. McCaul, and L. Alexander McCaul and wife, Judy; two brothers: John and Pat Switzer; sister, Diane Campbell; fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, church family and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Avelene was preceded in death by her beloved husband on March 15, 2015, James F. McCaul III; son, Jamie McCaul; granddaughter, Aimee Nicole McCaul; and brother, Dick Switzer.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home.

A private funeral service and interment will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. Officiating will be Pastor Art Sartorius assisted by Pastor Trevor Kean and Pastor Gary Greenlee.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted into the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home Potosi, Missouri.
